Monica Fyfe
Monica grew up in the South Bay and graduated from El Segundo High School. Currently Monica is an Adjunct Professor in the Graduate School of Education and Psychology at Pepperdine University and at Antioch University in their Master's of Marriage and Family Therapy Program. She is also an Instructor in the University of California San Diego (UCSD Extension Program), providing classes in their Play Therapy Certificate Program.
Monica previously worked as a Behavior Consultant and Specialist for Wiseburn Unified School District (WUSD), helping to create an Inclusive Pre-School Setting using Best Practices, and helping to create an infrastructure of skilled Behavior Technicians. She has also provided Behavior Consulting for Manhattan Beach Unified School District (MBUSD) as well, with focused support at MBMS and MCHS. Monica was also a Clinical Director at two of LA's top NPA/ABA agencies.
Education, Training and Certifications:
Monica Fyfe graduated from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Applied Developmental Psychology. It was at UCLA where Monica first began supporting autism under Dr. Lovaas, and a passion for children and families was born. She went on to receive two master's degrees. The first M. A. degree from Pepperdine University in Clinical Psychology with an MFT emphasis. The second M.S. degree from California State University, Los Angeles in Applied Behavior Analysis.
Monica is a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor (RPT-S), one of the few in the South Bay. Monica also earned a Foundational Certification in Theraplay® , which is an evidence-based, attachment and play intervention for caregiver and child. It also is clinically significant for neurodiverse children as well. Monica is also a Level 1 Fidelity Therapist in JASPER, an evidence-based program for kids ages 3 - 8 years old. Monica is a Certified AutPlay Therapy Provider® under the training requirements with Dr. Robert Jason Grant. Monica is also a Certified Provider for The Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®) for Preschoolers, Adolescents, School-based, Dating Bootcamps for Young Adults and Telehealth-based groups.
Community Support, Leadership and Volunteerism:
Monica served on the Board of SB-LB CAMFT, as their executive board Secretary. Monica is also a Lifetime member of CAMFT (California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists). Monica also served her Play Therapy community as President of the LA Chapter of CAL APT. www.calapt.org

Monica loves creative writing and is the Author of a Therapeutic Children's Book Series called "Welcome to Petsville: Stories of Pets and the Humans they Help and Love." The series has 2 books thus far including Sibling Shenanigans and Tumbling Towers; both available on Amazon.com She also loves travelling with her family and watching "Rocky" movies.
Monica is available for School In-Services, Community Speaking and Professional Trainings, writings and books, Neurodiversity awareness and Social Skills Groups Consultations, and Play Therapy supervision for RPT candidates.

Marisa Burke
Marriage and Family Therapy Associate, AMFT #119342 Supervised by Monica Fyfe, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #47541 Marisa Burke is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. She has a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from National University with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. Marisa has received training in Child Parent Psychotherapy, as well as Crisis and Suicide Intervention and Prevention. Marisa has worked in school, community, and clinic settings with young children ages 2 to 12 years old with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, neurodevelopmental delays, sibling conflict, and behavioral issues. Marisa currently is our "Kid 2 Kid" Program Coordinator, offers screenings, and is a Group Leader and Behavior Coach for our play and social & emotional skills groups for children 4 - 12 years old. Paula Ong
Marriage and Family Therapy Associate, AMFT ##12818 Supervised by Monica Fyfe, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #47541 Paula is a bilingual Tagalog/ Filipino speaking Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. Paula has a M.S. in Counseling degree from CSU Fullerton. She has worked with children, teens, and families in school, community, and telehealth settings. Prior to being a mental health therapist, Paula was a trained ABA therapist working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and an elementary school counselor. As a therapist, Paula has supported children, teens, and adults in different areas of life including emotional, behavioral, relational/social, and academic concerns. Paula also specializes in Asian American mental health and aims to support the community through destigmatizing mental health and providing culturally responsive therapy. Paula offers a safe, empathic, and empowering space for clients in therapy. In her work with children and teens, she often utilizies creativity, play, and mindfulness interventions appropriate to clients’ needs and interests. She also encourages collaboration with parents/caretakers and families to strengthen client support system. Aimee Cruz
Marriage and Family Therapy Associate, AMFT #127498 Supervised by Monica Fyfe, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #47541 Aimee Cruz is a Marriage and Family Therapy Associate. She has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. Aimee is a Certified PEERS® The Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills, for Young Adults 18 - 35, and teaches PEERS® for teens 12.5 -17. Aimee also has core training in Theraplay® , an attachment play therapy approach for caregivers and young children. She has also worked with young adults in life skills and pre-vocational skills in college programs supporting neurodiversity. As an athlete, Aimee also has a passion for supporting young athletes with anxiety, mindfulness training and other pre- and post competition needs. Aimee has worked in school-based and community settings for mental health. She also supports Our Village, a 501c3 non-profit agency with their Kid 2 Kid play and social & emotional skills groups, PEERS in-person and telehealth support for teens, young adults and parents, as both a Behavior Coach and as a Group Leader. Osie is a passionate educator with a diverse background in early childhood and special education. Osie has a Master's degree and teaching credential in Early Childhood Special Education. With over a 15+ years of professional experiences, Osie has served in various roles, each contributing to her growth as a special educator. Work experiences such as being a Special Education teacher, a home based ABA and Floor time therapist, and teaching overseas, have all honed Osie's skills and deepened her commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments. Osie continues her journey in working with neurodivergent children, and is driven by a persistent commitment to promoting equality, fostering inclusive practices, and empowering every child to thrive. Osie is excited to be part of the Play 2 Learn team and is ready to make meaningful impacts within this incredible community.
